Is 'soft life' just a new label for boundaries or is it something else?

I hit 10 years in property management last month and my work-life balance finally clicked, but now everyone's calling it 'soft life' online. Are we just rebranding basic self-care or is there actually a shift in how people define success?

You said "work-life balance finally clicked" and I feel that SO much. But calling it "soft life" just makes me roll my eyes honestly. It's like people think having boundaries is some NEW revolutionary thing when really it's just saying no to extra hours. I don't get why we need a fancy label for not burning yourself out. Success used to mean grinding until you collapsed, now it means taking a lunch break without guilt. That's progress for sure, but it's not some big philosophical shift. It's just finally admitting you only have so much energy before you crash.

Right there with you, it's the same basic concept wrapped in trendier packaging. People act like they discovered fire when really they just finally got tired of getting burned.
