Is 'quiet quitting' just doing your job or is it actually hurting team morale?

I was at a staff meeting last Tuesday when our manager brought up quiet quitting after someone left right at 5 PM, and half the team nodded while the other half looked annoyed, so which side is right here, the people who say we're just setting boundaries or the ones who think it's a cop out?

Man, it's just the whole "be loyal to companies that won't be loyal to you" thing playing out again.

That "loyalty" talk usually stops the first time they mess up your order.

Guess I'll just keep buying my morning coffee from the same chain until they raise the price by 50 cents again. My loyalty is measured in caffeine dependence, not rational thinking. Maybe I'll start a support group for people who keep giving their money to companies that don't care.
