Is 'quick commerce' actually saving me money or just making me spend more?

I spent $45 on grocery delivery through a 10-minute app last week for snacks and a few staples, and it felt efficient but I noticed my total was way higher than if I'd planned ahead. Has anybody else found that these ultra-fast delivery services burn a hole in your wallet or do you think the convenience is worth the extra cost?

Do you think the app is designed to make you impulse buy with those flashy pictures and quick add buttons?

It gets me every time. The key is those impulse buys while you're scrolling through the app. You see a bag of chips or a fancy soda and just add it without thinking because it's only a few bucks. Then the delivery fee and tip on top of a $45 total really stings. I started keeping a list on my phone of what I actually need and only searching for those exact items. It's boring but it stops me from grabbing the extras that blow up the bill. Planning ahead for a bigger grocery run once a week really does save more money in the long run.
