I used to roll my eyes at 'gaslighting' until my boss did it to me last Tuesday
I always thought that word was overused online, like every argument got called gaslighting. But my boss told me I never mentioned a deadline we discussed in a meeting, even showed me fake emails, and I spent 2 hours digging through my inbox before I realized he edited the date. It took me 3 days to prove I was right and it seriously changed how I see that term being thrown around. Has anyone else had a situation where a buzzword suddenly clicked in real life?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I used to joke that 'gaslighting' was just what people called it when someone disagreed with them online. Then my roommate told me our rent was split differently than I remembered, pulled up a fake spreadsheet with my signature on it, and I literally found the real doc on my laptop dated months earlier. Spent a whole weekend feeling like I was losing my mind, turns out I'm just a sucker who doesn't check his own files often enough.

The fake signature thing is wild. That takes planning. Real psycho behavior. Hope you kicked that roommate out.
