Hot take: 'delulu' works way harder than 'cope' ever did

Been tracking both in my group chats since March and 'delulu' has fully replaced 'cope' because it's funny instead of just mean. Anyone else seeing 'cope' die out, or is that just my friend group?

Oh totally, same thing in my group chat! "Cope" always felt like you were just calling someone a loser, but "delulu" is goofy enough that people laugh instead of getting mad. Nobody in my circle has typed "cope" since like February, so yeah, I'd say it's on the way out.
