Always rolled my eyes at 'ghost job postings', but then I checked LinkedIn for a real stat

Saw a report from Resume Builder that said 40% of companies posted fake listings just to look like they were growing... I figured it was like 10% maybe. I spent three weeks applying to spots that didn't even exist back in June. Found the stat in an article they put out and it made me totally change how I search now. Has anyone else run into a job that just seemed too perfect only to get radio silence?

That stat is wild, bet those companies wonder why nobody wants to work for them.
