Update on my local shop's inventory system

We switched from a basic spreadsheet to a $29/month cloud app last quarter, and our stock errors dropped by half. Anyone else seen a big win from a small software change?

I was always the guy saying a spreadsheet was fine for a small shop. It felt like a waste to pay for software. Seeing your numbers, though, that's a huge difference. Cutting mistakes in half would save us so much time fixing orders. Maybe the cost is worth it if it stops those daily headaches. I might have to look into something similar for our place.

See, you finally get it? Spreadsheets are like that old truck that starts most days, but software is the new one that just works. You don't realize how much time you're wasting until you stop fixing broken stuff. Welcome to the other side, the coffee's better over here.

Oh come on, is it really that serious? Cutting errors in half sounds great on paper but half of what exactly? If your shop had 10 stock mistakes a month now you have 5. Big deal. You probably spent more time learning that new app than you ever did fixing spreadsheet errors. And the cost adds up too. $29 a month is like $350 a year. That buys a lot of snacks for the break room. Plus those cloud apps always have some hidden fee or they change their pricing after a year. I just don't see the huge win here.
