Switched from spreadsheets to a proper bookkeeping app after my Q1 2024 tax bill shocked me
I used to just toss all my freelance income into a Google Sheet every month, but then I owed $4,200 more than I expected because I missed tracking deductions. Has anyone else made that switch and found a tool that actually catches stuff you'd overlook?

Pretty sure my spreadsheets were just wishful thinking in digital form.

It's funny how we build these castles in the cloud, then get surprised when the real world doesn't match the numbers we made up. I've noticed most people treat their plans more like a wish list than an actual budget.
