Shoutout to the guy at a Denver meetup who said my pitch sounded like a 'features list, not a story'
I rewrote my whole deck to start with the problem a customer in Omaha has, and my close rate went from 10% to 35% in three months, so has anyone else found that a simple story framework works better than specs?

That "features list, not a story" thing is everywhere, like how a friend's vacation photos are boring until they tell you about the crazy thing that happened.

Ever read that thing about how people remember facts better when they're part of a story? Makes total sense here.

Totally get what you mean about the vacation photos. I had to explain a new tool to my crew last week. Just listing what it did got blank stares. So I told them about the time I used it to fix a tricky leak in half the time, with the rain coming down. Like @dakotawood said, that story made the facts stick. They remembered how it worked because they remembered why it mattered.
