I mean, idk maybe it's just me but helping my mom with her etsy shop taxes turned into a whole thing about whether she can write off her garden gnomes as 'marketing'.

You know how the tax forms ask for the purpose of an expense? I feel like my honest answer would just be 'vibes' at this point. My own math is so bad I once tried to deduct a pizza as a business meeting with myself, so maybe the gnomes are just a more creative form of my terrible numbers. If she takes good photos of them for her shop, that's gotta count for something, right? Or at least it's a better excuse than my cold pepperoni receipt.

Look, you can't deduct a pizza for a meeting with yourself, but @rowan_kelly has a point about the gnomes if they're actually in her product photos.
