Vent: My whole weekly spread fell apart after I tried the Alastair method

I was all in on that rapid logging system where you use different dots and dashes for tasks, events, and notes. But last Tuesday I realized I spent 20 minutes just decoding my own symbols from Monday morning, and by Thursday I had completely stopped using the whole thing. I'm back to my old Ryder Carroll basics now, just bullets and crosses. Has anyone else tried a fancy migration system that totally backfired?

The 20 minutes decoding your own symbols thing killed me because I did the exact same thing with a color coded system I tried last year. I had this whole rainbow thing going with highlighters and ended up with a spread that looked like a kindergarten art project I couldn't read at all.

@kelly_west74 that's exactly what my notebook looked like, now I just use one pen and write it out simple.
