Spilled coffee all over my August spread and had to pivot hard

I was sitting at my kitchen table last Tuesday morning, feeling proud because I had just finished a really clean August monthly spread with these little doodle borders I learned from a YouTube tutorial. Then my cat jumped up and knocked my entire mug of black coffee right across the page. The ink smeared everywhere, three days of habit trackers and a grocery list were just brown blobs. I sat there for a minute feeling annoyed, then grabbed some paper towels and blotted what I could. Ended up turning the whole mess into a background wash with watercolors, and now that page looks kind of artsy and accidental on purpose. Has anyone else had a journaling disaster turn into something you actually ended up liking?

Feel that. Spilled tea on my June spread and it actually looked better after.

Gotta disagree a little here, man. I think the whole point of a bullet journal is to have control over the chaos, and letting a spill just become part of it kinda defeats the purpose for me. If I mess up, I either white it out or rip the page out and start over, not let it add character. It's like, I already have enough random spills in my life from my coffee and my kid's juice boxes, I don't need more in my journal. I get that some people like the organic look, but it would just bug me every time I opened the page.
