Spent $75 on a fancy journal that didn't even lay flat
I picked up this leather-bound bullet journal from an Etsy shop back in April for $75 because it looked so nice in the photos, but the spine is so stiff it won't stay open on my desk without me holding it down. Now I'm stuck using a cheap $8 dotted notebook from Target that works way better for my daily spreads and habit trackers. Anyone else bought a pricey journal that just ended up collecting dust?

Oh man, I feel your pain so hard. I dropped $60 on a "handmade" leather journal from a local shop and the pages literally started falling out after two weeks, but my $9 spiral notebook from Walmart is still going strong six months later. Makes you wonder why we keep falling for the fancy stuff when the cheap junk works better every single time.

lol i feel this in my soul. my wallet keeps falling for the "high quality" aesthetic trap even tho i know the cheap stuff is gonna outlive me somehow. guess my brain just likes pretty lies 😂

Money really does buy disappointment apparently. My $45 "luxury" journal sits on my shelf looking pretty while my $5 composition notebook has coffee stains all over it but works perfectly every single day. Premium notebooks are like those expensive restaurants where you leave hungry and hit McDonalds on the way home.
