Noticed a shift in how newbies set up their collections

I was flipping through some spread ideas on Pinterest and saw 4 straight posts where people wrapped their monthly goals in washi tape borders with tiny habit trackers. Then my coworker Sarah in Austin showed me her fresh journal, and she had zero monthly log, just a single future log and 3 collections. It got me thinking, are we moving away from the original Ryder Carroll setup toward more custom stuff? I started with the classic method in 2019 and still do the daily rapid logging, but has anyone else seen beginners skip the index and just freeform everything?
