My sister swore a cheap spiral notebook would fix my whole bullet journal setup, and I hate that she was right
I started bullet journaling in January with a fancy dotted journal from the bookstore, but by March I had scribbled out so many mistakes that half the pages looked like a raccoon got into them. My sister saw me fighting with it at her kitchen table in Boise and said, just get a 99 cent spiral notebook, you can throw it away if it turns out ugly. I thought she was nuts because every setup video I watched used grid paper, but I tried it anyway and suddenly I was actually using my journal every morning instead of being scared to mess up a page. Turns out the pressure of an expensive book was the real problem, not my handwriting. Has anyone else switched back to a plain cheap notebook, and did you go back to dotted later or just stay there?
