My journal got soaked on a ferry to Bainbridge Island

I was on the 4:15 ferry last Tuesday when a wave hit the car deck. My bag was on the floor and my Leuchtturm1917 notebook got completely wet. The pages are all wavy now and the ink from my fountain pen bled through. I had to rewrite my whole monthly log from memory. Does anyone have a good waterproof bag or case they use for travel?

Yeah, totally. It's like we're in a world of single-use everything. Sandwich in a giant plastic clamshell. Tiny USB drive in a huge blister pack. Feels like half the stuff I buy is 10% product, 90% fancy trash. Makes you wonder who decided all this was necessary.

Oh man, that's the worst feeling. Did the ink from the monthly log pages at least stay readable enough to copy from? I've had a notebook get rained on and the pages dried all crinkly and stiff, it's so frustrating.
