My April spread was a total disaster, salvaged by a $3 pack of washi tape

Tbh, I spent all Sunday night designing this super detailed April layout with weather trackers and mood wheels, then immediately lost motivation by Wednesday. Everything looked so cluttered and messy, I almost ripped the whole page out. Instead, I grabbed a cheap roll of washi tape from Target and just covered up the ugly sections with clean stripes. It actually gave the spread a fresh look, but now I'm wondering if I should stick to simpler monthly setups going forward. Has anyone else had a layout fail so hard they had to do a cover-up job mid-month?

Gotta ask, did covering it up actually fix the clutter or just hide it? cause if you're already bored with the fancy stuff by Wednesday, seems like simple might be the real win here.
