I tried using a super cheap watercolor set for my bujo spreads and it bled through 5 pages.

Honestly, five pages? That's not watercolor, that's a flood warning. You'd need a whole ream of cardstock to back that up, like @the_cameron said, and even then you're just building a dam. At that point, is it even watercolor or are you just staining the paper? Feels like the set is more food coloring than paint. Why do the cheap ones always promise so much and deliver a soggy mess?

Oh yeah, that cheap watercolor bleed is the worst. I started putting a piece of cardstock behind the page I'm working on. It doesn't stop all of it, but it saves the next few pages. You can also try using way less water, like almost a dry brush.

Ever try that trick with the cardstock and still get ghosting on the pages after it? Makes you wonder if the paper weight is just too low for any real fix. What brand are you even using that bleeds that bad? I switched to a way heavier sketchbook and it mostly stopped, but then you lose that easy blending feel. Isn't it frustrating when the cheap paper ruins the whole experience?
