I tried a minimalist weekly layout vs my old detailed one and the difference was huge
I spent 4 months doing this super detailed weekly spread with color coding and all these trackers, then last week I switched to just a simple list of tasks for each day with no decorations. The minimalist one actually got me to finish more stuff because I wasn't scared to mess up the pretty layout. Anyone else find that less is better for actual productivity?

Minimalist spread just means less time spent hiding from my actual tasks... glad @caleb_ross12 gets it.

and the thing about the detailed layouts is they turn into this whole performance of productivity instead of actually being productive. i did the same thing with a bullet journal back in the day, color coded sections for work, fitness, meals, the whole deal. but then id spend an hour on sunday setting it up and by wednesday id be too stressed about keeping it perfect to even write anything in it. switching to just a scrap piece of paper with 3 things i need to do that day was a game changer. no pressure to make it look good, just get the stuff done and move on.
