Hit my 500th page in the same journal last night, here's what surprised me

I started this A5 notebook back in March and I just realized I'm on page 500, which is way more than I thought I'd ever fill since I usually quit around page 80. The crazy part is that flipping back through the old months, the layouts got simpler and more messier, but I actually use it more now than when I was trying to make everything perfect. Has anyone else noticed that they stick to journaling longer once they stop caring about how it looks?
