Hit 365 days of daily habit tracking last week
I started a tiny box for drinking water in my bullet journal last year, just to see if I could stick with it for a month. Somehow I kept going and last Thursday I colored in box number 365, which is a full year of not missing a single day. Has anyone else hit a random streak like that and found it really changed how you approach your whole journal setup?

Did you ever worry that if you missed one day it would break the whole spell and you'd stop entirely? I'm on day 87 of a mood tracker and I swear I almost skipped yesterday because I forgot until like 11pm... made me realize how fragile the whole chain feels sometimes. Is it actually changing what you track or just making you more stubborn about filling in the boxes?

Honestly I used to be in the "it's just a streak who cares" camp but this post actually changed my mind a little. There's something about that chain that makes you show up even when you're dead tired, and I think that's kind of the whole point. If you missed a day it wouldn't break the spell forever though, you'd just start over and the habit would still be there. But yeah it's more about building the stubbornness to check in than actually changing the mood itself.
