Finally got my weekly spread to actually work after 3 months of messing it up

My bullet journal has been a disaster lately... I kept trying to cram way too many tasks into each day and ending up with half-empty pages. Last Tuesday I sat down and forced myself to only put 3 must-dos per day and leave the rest for a "overflow" section. It actually worked for the first time all year. My brain just feels less cluttered now when I open my journal in the morning. Has anyone else struggled with overplanning their spreads and had to scale back?

Wait... hold on, just three must-dos per day? That's it? Man, that sounds almost too simple to actually work. I've been over here trying to plan out every single slot of my day like a maniac and then getting pissed when I don't finish. I might have to try your overflow section idea, because my weekly spreads always end up looking like a disaster zone by Wednesday. Three tasks feels scary small though, like I'm not doing enough.

3 tasks feels like nothing at first, but that's kind of the point lol. I used to pack my list with 12 things and then feel like a failure by noon, but 3 real, solid tasks actually gets done. The overflow list is just there to catch the smaller stuff so it doesn't feel like you're slacking, but you're still only responsible for those 3.
