Bought a $30 Leuchtturm notebook and it totally let me down
After hearing everyone rave about them, I spent $30 on a Leuchtturm1917 for my bullet journal last month. But the pages ghost so bad that my weekly spreads look like a mess, and the ink bleeds through on anything wetter than a fine point. Anyone else find a cheaper notebook that actually holds up better for daily use?

The ghosting on Leuchtturms is honestly so overhyped for the price. I tried one a couple years back and the same thing happened with my fountain pen, it was like the paper was printed on both sides by accident. The Moleskine notebooks are even worse if you're looking for something cheaper, they bleed through like crazy with gel pens too. If you want a solid daily driver that costs less, the Minimalism Art notebooks on Amazon are like $12 and handle fountain pens way better with barely any ghosting. The paper is thicker too, like 100 gsm, so you don't get that see-through mess. Just be careful with the fine tip markers because some of them still ghost a little, but it's night and day from the Leuchtturm.

My buddy Dave picked up a Leuchtturm for his journaling kick and within a week he was texting me pictures of the ghosting asking if I thought he got a fake. He switched to some random brand off Amazon too and said it was like moving from tracing paper to actual notebook paper for half the cash. Just goes to show you don't gotta drop big money for paper that works.

Right? @sage_ramirez42 I'm over here writing on napkins like it's fine art.
