Appreciation post: My bullet journal saved a really bad Tuesday

Last Tuesday started with my truck battery being dead and a client calling to cancel a big job. I was super stressed and ready to just skip my journal. I opened it anyway and wrote down the three worst things, then forced myself to add one small task I could finish. That task was just calling the parts store, but crossing it off made me feel a tiny bit in control again. Has anyone else found that just doing the basic log helps on a day that feels totally wrecked?

Yeah I read something about this concept called the "small win" idea... that getting even the tiniest thing done on a bad day sends a signal to your brain that you're not totally helpless. Like how cleaning one shelf gives you that little hit of dopamine. For me it's usually just putting my keys in the bowl by the door or filling up my water bottle. Something so dumb and small but it breaks the spiral a bit. That bullet journal entry sounds exactly like that kind of thing.

Crossing off that one thing can totally change the mood.

It's the same with cleaning a single shelf.
