My barber in Cleveland asked what I do with my "fun money" and I couldn't answer him
I was sitting in the chair last month getting a $22 cut, just the usual small talk, and he asked me what I do with my fun money each month. I kind of laughed and said I don't really have fun money, and he stopped cutting and looked at me like I said something crazy. On the drive home I actually pulled up my banking app and added it up, and I had $340 disappear in the last 30 days on stuff I couldn't even name. Energy drinks at the gas station, two food delivery orders when I had groceries at home, and a streaming service I forgot I was paying for since 2021. The kicker is I thought I was doing fine because I never bought anything "big." So I started a thing where every Friday I move whatever is left in checking over my normal bills into a savings account I can't see on my main screen. It's been four weeks and I've parked $285 without really feeling it. Curious if anyone else got called out by somebody random like that and what actually stuck for you after.
