Wasted $60 on a 'discount' museum pass in Paris

I bought this multi-attraction pass thinking I'd save money, but I only visited 2 museums before my trip got cut short. Has anyone else fallen for those city cards and ended up losing cash?

Jumped into that trap myself in Rome last year and it stings every time I think about it. The whole thing feels like a gamble where you're banking on having a perfect vacation schedule, but life never works out that neatly. It's just another example of how we get sold on the idea of saving money by spending more upfront.

You ever feel like these deals are designed so the company wins either way? Totally feel your pain though, that Rome trip sounded amazing even with the headache.

Not a museum pass but I bought one of those all-day metro passes in London and then got stopped by workers striking halfway through the day. Stood there at a closed station gate with like 4 other tourists all holding our passes and nobody knew what to do. The ticket booth guy just shrugged at us through the glass. Did you at least get to see the good museums or were they the boring ones?
