Used to hate flight deals with layovers, now I love them

I always avoided flights with layovers because I thought they were a waste of time. But after I booked a Houston to Denver route through Salt Lake City for $89 last fall, I realized the break actually saved me money on snacks and let me stretch my legs. Now I actively search for 1-2 hour layovers since they drop prices by at least $50 most trips. Anyone else come around on layovers after avoiding them for years?

Honestly, are people really that pressed about layovers? It's just a couple hours sitting in an airport. I'd rather just get where I'm going as fast as possible, even if it costs a bit more.

That $89 Houston to Denver deal sounds like a steal.

Oh man that's an insane price! I snagged a similar deal last spring from Austin to Seattle for like $72 one way on some random Tuesday. Flew out at 6am but totally worth it for that price, you know? The trick is you gotta be flexible with dates and not care about flying at weird hours. I swear these flash sales are like hunting for Easter eggs, you just gotta keep refreshing and pounce when you see one. That Denver route is usually way more so whoever booked that is laughing all the way to the gate.
