Unpopular opinion: I never buy souvenirs and it saves me a ton
I realized on a trip to Mexico that souvenirs just collect dust at home. Now I take photos instead and print one nice frame per trip. For example, I skipped buying a $60 blanket and got a custom print for $20. That extra $40 went towards a cooking class I loved. Friends say I have no memories, but my photos are better. This hack lets me spend on experiences, not stuff.

Just sits there" makes it sound like a problem. Is it too nice to actually walk on, or is it just an ugly rug? Some people buy stuff on trips and then realize it doesn't work at home.
