My dumb mistake with a 'free' walking tour in Prague...
I saw a sign for a 'free' walking tour and joined without asking how it worked... turns out they expect a big tip at the end and I felt so awkward I gave the guide 20 euros. That was my lunch budget for two days gone. Has anyone else fallen for one of these and what's a better way to see a city cheap?

That exact thing happened to me on my first trip to Berlin. I ended up giving 15 euros because the guide stared at everyone. What amount did you see other people handing over, and did the guide make you feel like there was a set price they wanted? I've learned to research these tours online first to see what others say is a normal tip.
