I booked a flight to Denver for $89 by searching on a Tuesday at 3 PM
I always heard that flight prices change, but I checked the same route every day for a month and saw the price drop by over half on a specific afternoon. I grabbed it immediately and saved enough for two extra nights in a hostel. Does anyone else have a specific day or time that consistently works for cheap fares?

I always thought that was a myth, but I snagged a ticket to Chicago for $75 on a Wednesday morning last month.

My old roommate swore by checking for concert tickets right after the venue's social media posted the "sold out" announcement. Said people's carts would time out and releases would happen. Same chaotic energy as flight sales.

Remember my friend who was desperate to visit her sister in Seattle. She checked prices every single day for weeks, convinced the whole Tuesday thing was nonsense. Then, like @charlie_ellis found, she saw a crazy drop late on a Thursday night, not even a Tuesday. It was a red-eye flight for less than a hundred bucks. She always swore by that specific airline's website after midnight now, saying their system must update then. It never worked that well for me, but she saved so much it paid for her rental car.
