Friend swore by hostel dorms in Europe. I hated it.
My buddy Jake told me hostels are the only way to save money in Paris. I booked a 12-bed dorm for $35 a night. Third night, someone stole my sneakers while I slept. Never again. Has anyone else had a bad hostel experience that made you switch to cheap hotels?

Did you see that one YouTube video where a guy actually stayed there and counted all the bunk beds? I swear the whole place is basically a human Tetris game with people stacked on top of each other. The reviews say you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing, so good luck sleeping.
