Appreciation post: the hostel worker in Lisbon who drew me a map to the free tram route

She spent five minutes explaining which stops to skip to avoid tourist pricing and saved me 14 euros over two days, has anyone else gotten insider tips from a random front desk person like that?

That reminds me of a hostel worker in Barcelona who told me the best way to sneak into a rooftop pool at a fancy hotel nearby. Just walked in like you belonged there and nobody ever stopped me. Saved me like 20 euros just for a few hours of sun.

Those little map drawings are gold, I've held onto one from a hostel in Prague for years now.
