Tried making rice with a $12 pot from Goodwill instead of my $80 one and I can't tell the difference
Last week my fancy nonstick pot got scratched up so I grabbed a beat up aluminum one from the Goodwill on 5th for $12 (still had a price sticker from 1998 on the bottom). The cheap pot actually cooked the rice more even, no burnt layer at the bottom, and I did the same 2 cups water to 1 cup rice ratio I always use. Am I crazy or has anyone else noticed the cheap stuff works just as good for basic meals?
