Oh man, I feel your pain. It's wild how something so simple can go wrong for years. I finally learned to use the finger trick and just let it sit off the heat for ten minutes, total game changer.

Ha, the finger trick feels like sorcery until you finally trust it doesn't it? I burned so many pans before I just gave up and bought a thermometer like a quitter.

Swear I've wrecked a good three pans before I finally got the hang of the finger trick. My biggest issue was always pulling the pan too early or letting it sit way too long. Now I just set a timer for eight minutes and it comes out perfect every time.
