My big pot of chili turned into a bland disaster last night
I forgot to add any spices until it was almost done, so I just dumped in a whole can of tomato paste to try and fix it. Now I have a huge batch of weird, thick tomato goop. What's your best way to save a messed up meal without spending more money?

Try thinning it out with some cheap broth or water and adding a spoonful of cumin and chili powder. You can also stretch it by mixing in a can of rinsed beans or some cooked rice.

My mom used to do that with chili... always added extra kidney beans.

Ever try adding a can of corn? I had to stretch a pot once and threw in frozen corn and a diced bell pepper. It bulked it up without making it taste weird, and the corn adds a little sweetness that works with the chili flavors. The peppers cook down and sort of melt into the sauce. Made it feel like a whole new meal, honestly.
