My attempt at making beans from scratch took 6 hours

I thought I'd save money by soaking dry pinto beans instead of buying canned. Forgot about them for 4 hours then boiled them for another 2 and they still came out crunchy. Anyone else ever mess up a cheap meal that bad?

Did you actually eat them or did you just give up and order pizza? Crunchy beans aren't ideal but they're not going to kill you. Sounds like a normal Tuesday dinner to me, just chew a little longer.

Heard somewhere that undercooked beans can mess with your stomach, worth a shot
