Hot take: buying spices in jars is a waste of money

I see people dropping $5 on a tiny jar of oregano at the store when you can get a big bag at an international market for $1.50. Why are we still falling for the fancy packaging when the bulk stuff tastes the same?

Did you see that article about how most cinnamon is actually cassia bark and not real cinnamon? Makes you wonder what you're really paying for at that price...
