Frozen veggie bags finally make sense to me after 6 months of food waste

I used to think frozen peppers and broccoli were just sad mush, but I tracked my grocery spending for February and tossed $23 of rotting fresh produce. One bag of store brand mixed veg at $1.49 feeds three meals here, and it doesn't turn into science experiments in my crisper drawer. Anyone else swap half their fresh stuff for frozen and notice the difference?

@anna_ross19 that zucchini thing is real, but $23 buys a lot more than two coffees here.

Wait until you freeze something like zucchini and thaw it... it's basically water with a green tint. I get the money thing but $23 over a month isn't exactly a crisis, that's like two coffees out. Frozen works fine for soups and stir fry, but let's not act like it's the same as fresh when you actually want texture.
