Frozen veggie bags beat fresh for my meal prep, no contest

I tried switching my weekly meal prep to all fresh produce last month and my grocery bill hit $85 for 4 days of food. Went back to a $2 bag of frozen mixed peppers and onions from Aldi, and it saved me about $12 a week. The texture is actually better for stir fries since they don't get soggy, and I stopped tossing half a bag of wilted carrots every Sunday. Anyone else find frozen stuff winning on both cost and convenience?

Ha, my grandma froze everything including leftover soup. We ate mystery ice cubes for years.

Fresh carrots last a week easy if you store em right, and frozen peppers turn to mush the second they hit a hot pan. Plus that $12 youre saving is probably getting eaten by electricity keeping the freezer running. Paying a little more for actual flavor beats saving a buck on ice cubes with veggies in em.
