Froze my own meal prep instead of buying those $6 frozen dinners

Ngl, I used to grab those single serve frozen meals every week because I thought I was too tired to cook. Last month I spent 2 hours on Sunday making a big pot of chili and portioned it into 5 containers. Cost me about $8 total versus $30, and honestly the homemade one tastes way better. Anyone else find meal prep actually saves money when you stop overthinking it?
