Appreciation post: My local market started selling 'soup packs' for $3 with all the leftover veg bits.
I was wasting money on full vegetables for stock, but grabbing one of these packs every Thursday has cut my weekly grocery bill by almost $15.

My old grocery store did that too. It's a solid deal if you trust the place.

But isn't that just buying someone else's trash? You have no idea how old those veggie bits are or what they sprayed on them. Saving fifteen bucks feels good until you get a weird stock that tastes off.

Honestly, that's just smart shopping (and less food waste). If the veggies look and smell fine, it's a total win.
