Warning: That $50 mortar mix I ordered online was a total bust

I spent $50 on a pre-blended mortar mix from a big box site thinking it would save time on a small patio job, but it crumbled apart after two weeks in the rain. Has anyone else had trouble with those premixed bags, or did I just get a bad batch?

That really sucks, sorry you had to deal with that. Rain exposing bad mix is a rough way to learn that lesson. Hope you can get your money back on it at least.

Wait til you get a rainy mix that somehow makes everything sound like it's underwater, that's a whole other level of bad. At least with visible rain you know exactly what you're dealing with from the start.
