I finally had a brick wall I built crack on me last winter
It was a garden wall in my backyard here in Spokane that shifted after a freeze-thaw cycle, and I ended up tearing down the top three courses to re-lay them with a better footing - has anyone else had issues with frost heave messing up their work?

Did you dig down below the frost line before you laid the new footing? In Spokane that usually means going at least 4 feet deep if you want to stop the heave for good. A good layer of gravel and proper drainage underneath should keep it solid next winter.

4 feet? That's insane, I only went down like 18 inches.
