That foreman in Austin was onto something. I see it in my own kitchen, the grout lines on my old tile are way too thick and they're the first thing to crack. Sometimes the standard way is the standard for a reason.

A fat joint can be a lifesaver on a wavy wall though, gives you room to adjust.
