Had a wild time trying to mix mortar in a wheelbarrow versus a mixer on a job in Boise.

The homeowner insisted we save money by using his old metal wheelbarrow and a hoe, so we gave it a shot for a small garden wall. After about 20 minutes of back-breaking mixing that still left us with lumpy, inconsistent mortar, we finally dragged our little Belle Minimix 150 out of the truck. The difference was night and day, got a perfect batch in under 5 minutes and saved us hours over the whole job. Anyone else ever have a client push for the old way just to realize the tool is worth every penny?

Sometimes the old way makes you really appreciate the new tools, right @the_patricia?

That Boise homeowner probably still thinks a butter churn is a good investment too lol.
