Can we talk about mistaking cinnamon for sand in the mortar?

Hate when that happens. Ruins the mortar batch for sure. That bakery smell is a dead giveaway something went wrong. Now you're stuck redoing the work, which is never fun. Heard of guys mixing up salt for sand too. Tough break, but at least it made the site smell good for a bit.

That salt for sand thing reminds me of a crew that accidentally used sugar in their concrete mix once. Whole foundation slab ended up with this weird crunchy texture that never set right.

True, @faith_smith, that sweet smell would definitely attract every ant and wasp on the block, turning the redo into a bug party too.
