Bought a used gas mixer off Craigslist in Akron, now my mortar sets in 20 minutes

That thing was supposed to save me 300 bucks but the belts are slipping so bad the batch is uneven every single time, ended up dumping 4 wheelbarrows full down the drain last Thursday. Anyone else just stick with hand mixing rather than gamble on second hand equipment?

Wait, mortar sets from heat or chemicals, not mixer problems lol.
