Bought a $180 brick tongs setup at a flea market in Columbus and it cut my wall time way down
I was at the flea market in Columbus last month and some old guy had a brick tongs rig he swore by. I figured $180 was steep but he let me try it on a couple bricks, and I could carry six at a time instead of three. Used it on a garage job last week and knocked out the back wall in about four hours instead of my usual seven. My back hurts way less too, which honestly might be the real win here. Anyone else use tongs or do you all just tough it out by hand?
Wait, you got all that for $180? Man that sounds like a steal when you think about the time you saved. Three hours back on one wall adds up fast, and if your back feels better after a job that alone is worth way more than the money. I have never used tongs myself, I just grab them two at a time like a dummy and pay for it the next morning. Reading stuff like this makes me wonder why I keep making things harder on myself for no reason. Four hours versus seven is a huge jump, that old guy knew what he was talking about.
