That whole 'any press is good press' thing is a lie
I used to think any viral drama was good for business. Even if people hated it, they'd remember your name, right? Then I watched a local coffee shop in Austin get roasted online for a tone-deaf ad about inflation. They tried to apologize with a cringey video that made it worse. Lost 200 Google reviews in 48 hours. It was brutal. I realized then that bad press just hurts trust and nobody forgets. Now I vet every post twice before hitting send. Has anyone ever recovered from a total brand meltdown around here?

200 reviews in 48 hours? That's insane, I didn't know Google could move that fast. I figured it took like a week for those things to stack up. Guess the internet really does have a quick trigger finger when they're mad.

@blake691 yeah my buddy runs a small coffee shop and got review bombed once. He said the first 50 came in like 5 hours, then Google paused it. They eventually approved like 150 of them a week later though. The internet mob moves FAST when they pick a target.
