That time a customer told me my logo looked like a clip art mashup
I launched a little side gig doing lawn care last summer in Austin, and I spent like 2 hours on a logo in Canva. First real client, this older guy, just flat out said it looked like I grabbed random clip art and smashed it together. Ngl, he was right. I hired a designer on Fiverr for $35, and now my logo actually looks professional. Has anyone else had a customer give feedback that totally changed how you present your business?

Ha! Honest customers are the best free consultants you'll ever get.

Is that not the absolute truth though? I've had customers point out tiny things in my store layout that I never would have noticed in a million years. It's like they see the whole picture from a totally different angle. And the best part is, when you actually listen and fix what they point out, they remember it and keep coming back. That kind of loyalty is way more valuable than any marketing budget, that's for sure.

@kelly385 you're totally right about customers seeing things from a different angle. But I gotta say, not every piece of feedback is worth acting on. I had a guy tell me my mowing stripes weren't straight enough, turns out he was just cranky about the heat. You gotta sort the useful stuff from the noise.
